10 longest videos on YouTube

YouTube is a platform where you can watch millions of videos from all over the world. Whether these videos are podcasts, reviews, or even reactions, YouTube has something for everyone. However, some content creators go a step further and make their videos longer. If you’re looking for videos that are longer than several hours, you’re in luck, because we’ve rounded up ten of the longest videos currently on YouTube. Please note that these may not be the longest videos on YouTube, but we try to limit the scope to entries that have entertainment value. Somehow, we suspect that a clock counting down from 70 hours, one second at a time, would not be very pleasant.

10. The longest 5 seconds on YouTube.

If you’ve ever wanted to see a five-second excerpt that stretches into a 19-hour thrill ride, check out this video from The Slow Mo Guys. As their chosen name suggests, these two men like to film some crazy activities in slow motion, like jumping in a water balloon, getting hit in the face with a soccer ball, and shooting at a newton’s cradle. “YouTube’s 5 Longest Seconds,” which was released in 2016, extends a clip from his “Glass Explosion at 343,000 fps!” where they heat up a glass measuring cup and blow up its handle with just a stream of water. Although the buildup of this explosion is quite long, the devastating effect alone is worth looking at.

9. I counted to 100,000!

The following video comes from Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, a YouTuber who is famous for popularizing stunt videos on the platform. However, Donaldson didn’t go viral until 2017, after posting a video of him counting to 100,000. The video was originally 40 hours long, but Adobe only allows videos up to 24 hours, so parts of it go fast forward. Still, the fact that Donaldson committed to the bit for so long is a testament to his dedication as a content creator. While this video was undoubtedly difficult to make, it was worth the risk as it put Donaldson on the map.

1. Teo streams for 36 hours

The longest video on this list is a 36-hour Twitch stream from gaming channel Teo, or rather his second More Teo channel. Unlike other Let’s Plays on this list, “Teo Broadcasts 36 Hours” consists of Teo playing multiple games like Jurassic World: Evolution 2, battlefield 2042Y encryption. It’s as if Teo thinks he can’t play a game for 36 hours and needs to play multiple games to justify the length of the stream. Although he slept through the broadcast, it was only for a couple of hours and he kept the broadcast showing existing videos in the meantime. Still, it’s a great video, especially for anyone looking to get into streaming on Twitch.
