33 polling stations will be set up on Sunday 21 May 2023 for national elections across Andros. In the wider Chora area, from Pitrofos to Vourkotis and Vrachnos, 13 polling stations will be installed. Of these 5 in Chora 5. That is, 7 polling stations will be installed in the villages around Chora. Now 8 polling stations will be set up in the Korthi area and in the villages in the area. Of these, 2 in Ormos and 2 in Mousionas. Finally, 13 polling stations will be installed in the Hydrousa area and in the towns from Palaiopoli to Arni, Amolochos and Makrotandalos. Of these, 2 in Gavrio and 2 in Batsi. The remaining 9 in the towns in the area.

An unknown number of men will vote in these polls! And this because the numbers that appear in the electoral rolls are fictitious. Because the lists haven’t been cleaned in years. It should also be added that the number of non-residents who will go to the polls among those registered who are alive is unknown.

So one job of the next government, now that we’ve gone electronic in government, will be to finally clear up the electoral records so that we also know where we’re voting and how many are voting. So that participation, but above all abstention, are calculated correctly. We are now saying withdrawal numbers that are not valid. Because we are waiting for another number of voters and another appears at the polls.

Otherwise, the way the polls are currently set up and the number of actual voters across Andros, voting will go back to being relatively smooth and comfortable. And given the electronic announcement of the results by the Ministry of the Interior, we will have fast results for the whole country and for Andros. Around 9 pm on Sunday we will know what the Greeks as a whole voted for, but also the citizens of Andriot as part of the whole.
